None Title Post!

Today I just finished my first week being a master student, week of finding the way to overcome the excess of homework, work and new projects.

First, master is quite interesting, it is full of knowledge ready to be exploted, knowledge that create business oportunities. I'm very excited about this master, I know is quite long (2 years and a half long) but I bet it worths it.

Second, everyday I confirm that I'm a philosopher not as a philosopher by career but as person that loves to question every thing and enjoys finding answears or more questions.

Third, some week ago I've realized, what I need is a business partner to complement some skills we (current partners) lack. Every month I see and feel the potential that my business concept has and the benefit it could bring to mexican growing SMO and therefore to the county.

My every-sunday-challenge is how to organize my week to accomplish my week goals.

"Challenge your week and you won't be bored!".

Tuff Week

Feeling better is better :D... Have you ever heard that after a night of party and liters of alcohol your body start to segregate a substance which I think is called serotonin and may cause depression.

I reflect and I realize that I always post on Sunday which is a good day for hangover so maybe I should think of stop drinking or change the posting day... mmm well maybe less booze on Saturday and post on Sunday; it's a better mix :).

I'd like to write about that week that just finished. It was a very stressful but productive week. First as you maybe know I have more than 3 months that I've been play fronttennis which is game similar to squash and tennis of course but I think it's was invented in Mexico. Some friends and me are use to play in the park of the city we've gotten some playing friend who are cool to play with. We play on Mondays and Thursdays and I'm always looking forward to start playing... I mean I used to play tennis before but because of job I stop playing but frontennis has been a very good replace cause I really have fun.

I also start a Adobe Flex course on Monday, its trainning from my job, I mean, we maybe start using this platform to develop the applicacions. It is going to be a 3-week-course and I'm really enjoying learning this.

I just finished I consulting proyect for a new coffee shop called 'minutos coffee'... yeah the name is a mix of spanish-english but the meaning if pretty straightforward, guess it :P. The project was small and I didn't get much money but we finished it quickly and the customer was very happy. I've been also working in an other project proposal which is bigger and much more challenging... I haven't finish the proposal yet but I really would like to close the sale of this project.

As you can seen I had a very full week by the end of the week I was really exahusted, I went out on Friday and Saturday afternoon but Saturday evening I felt asleep... let's see what's comming this this week :)

Read me soon!

Year 2009

New year, new stuff comming.

To finish last year and begin 2009 familiy Chan went to Big Bear, CA; a beautiful place where you can feel the exciting winter sports like skiing and snowboarding. This way I couldn't loose the chance to try skiing for the first time.

The first day I felt down several times, maybe 15 or more so I could realize that falls are the most tiring part of skiing. By the end of the day I was almost death because my body ran out energies and hurt me from the tallest hair to the lowest toe.

The second day I was between excited and afraid but the first feeling overcame the second and I and started with the first rides falling down few times and I soon I feel confortable I slid down faster :D... so this second day way very rewarding and funny.

Last days of vacations cousins and me prepared to visit Six Flags Magic Mountain, a fun park from WarnerBros. It was extremeeee!, the rides are so fucking extreme, so fast, so bent and there are many of these kind of rides. By the end of the day I got a headache and I catched a flu in a ride where i got wet.

The new year started just after the ending of the vacations and work started with new challenges and goals to achieve.

I started working as a asistant in the business incubator where I am, I have the big objective to create new loyal customer and obtain revenues for the business which I'm working for.

So time I feel stuck and with little enegies to keep working. I started thing about the real motivation of this and I think I just find it.

... life is moving and the moment to take advantage of it, it's just now!

Happy New Year!

just back!

Damn more than one month without writing on this… But I’m back…

Well my life, sometimes with exciting stuff but sometime with boring things. Fortunately this month has had more exciting than boring stuff (shit, I can’t write in English, wasting my low English skills :D)

First, we just finish our first consulting project; we’re only waiting for the 2nd part of the payment. It was a point-of-sale software implementation, it last around 3 week. It was quite rewarding cuz the client is young and has the attitude of business man. I could say that I learned but I confess that dealing with more difficult people is a bigger challenge and much more rewarding (not in the economical way).

… I gotta go,
… to be continued…

Hard work

Since my last post I've been working and party hard so you now can imagine the reason I hadn't written on this blog. However I'm still alive and happy with my so-called working life.

We went out to a club, a renew one, which I admit is the one that I prefer; I was so tired so we dance and drink only till 3 am but it was a nice paty...

New Job?

Since the last post, things changed somehow. I stared a job as a programmer in the UAS (state university) and i’ve kept doing ownbusiness work.

Job in the UAS is quite interesing, I’m programming with PHP a professor survey for the students, I’m working 8 hours aday with 2 hours to have lunch… so it’s like a part-time-job therefore I have the whole morning to keep doing my businesses (do you thing I sound like an asshole hahah); doing my business means that I offering enterprise solutions using software and any othe kind of IT.

Last week was my first one there and people seem to be fairly nice. Most of them are married eventhought they’re funny and have that youth spirit.

Now uncertanity has gone away but I’m still doing my best to be a business guy.

Back to the Writing

I’m back on this finally. Since my last post I’ve been working hard to get customer for my firm. I haven’t gotten any of them but we’ll start on this along September. Funny things are going good, I’m playing tennis 3 times a week but I will reduce it to 2; the other 2 days I work out in the gym to get some muscles :D. I’m also going to dance salsa with my Cuban teacher and some older people, older people are some times funny. I’m also trying to learn German through www.babbel.com. Weekends are always to party… going out, drinking some beers with friends.

One the other hand I feel a bit desperate cause I don’t get enough money to spend so I have to very careful to buy only what I’m needing.

Nothing really big but at least I keep myself busy. Have good week!

Uncertainty

These days things are quite uncertain. On one side I’m strongly working to consolidate the consulting business and the support seems to be sure. But on the other side I’m applying for jobs which perhaps could get easily but, I look forward and I’m not completely convinced of them.

Last Saturday I made an exam necessary to be admitted in a master program which is offer by the college where I studied and Carnegie Mellon University. The exam what for free to I decided to make it.

Tomorrow I’ll make an exam for applying to a job. It’s gonna be a long one, 6-hour-exam. Wish me good look.

Hard Work!

I’m sittin’ on the living room of my home listening to Brazzaville songs, almost finishing the cd and resting from a hard week. The weather is quite hot on the other hand I’m not hot… yeah, now shine on your crazy diamond song is playing on the music component… I also finished a cup of tea (green stuff and chamomile) :D but it wasn’t hot cuz is not very nice drink a hot tea with 35°C.

As I wrote a couple of week ago, I’ve been making up a plan for a project in the fabrics’ retailer. These two week have been fairly tuff, working 8 to 9 hours a day, reading and learning on the day-to-day. So far, my partner is working very hard too. I believe she’s motivated as well. I learn from her everyday but I always try to find alternative solutions as a way to compare different options.

Perhaps, we’ll be presenting the plan to chairman of the company during next week. We must find the ways to convince him about the benefits of everything what we’re offering but let me tell you that I’ve been making mistakes during the development of the project plan. I guess is normal for inexperience people.

2 Weeks after the Cuban Trip

Yes… now things are different… i’m running out of money and now I need to steal or get start a job. During these two week I’ve been searching on these job portals where you can publish your CV and find a vacancy according to your profile but, you know what, I really think this is not the best way to find one effectively, therefore, I started to send résumés to people that somehow I know and are working on companies where I’d like to work too but in either cases I haven’t received good choices so I’m still looking for.

On the other hand I was asked to work as advisor or junior consultant in a fabric retailer of my city, afterward I’m working on a proposal to improve point-of-sale and inventory processes. This project is planned to be executed by my partner and me… and by the way, I have support from my uni to start a firm. It’s a challenge but is very motivating for me.

I’m really excited at this time but I’m also a bit worry about a failure on this, anyway I’ll put all the effort to achieve the goals and objectives defined. I would be glad to write good news on this blog next week, so, keep reading.

Bye bye!

Posting again :p

Weeks like this one that just passed don't get it usually... Well if you read my blog you maybe know that I went to Monterrey for recruitment. The trip was really cool. I flew, for the first time, in this airline company called VivaAerobus which I remember it's a partner of Ryanair...

Yully, my whole-life-friend, picked me up and took me to Cheto's new flat. I looked around the Campus Monterrey which is located very close where I was staying, I met Enrique and Alan that Tuesday and we 6; including Yully's boyfriend, went to have dinner. The next day, Wednesday was the presentation of the company (Accenture) and some minutes after it the interviews.

There are many job offers but most of them are for developers, which is something that I like, but I would prefer something else. During the interview the recruiter told me about a vacancy in project in Mexico city for a Brazilian company... I thought, "... cool more travel!...", this was one of the things that I liked the most of this offer. I'm waiting for call in order to continue with the process of hiring... I hope to get this job. It's in an area that I love and it sound very challenging...

This weekend was the traditional carnival in Mazatlan, "... and yes...", I went there. It was a really great time; we danced, sang and forgot our every-day-routine. We stayed in a pretty good hotel... well... many things shouldn't be explained here but you maybe guess that we all had a great time.

You know what?... I’m thinking that nobody read this blog because I never get comments… maybe I should also post more professional things… lol… I will try at least.

Keep having good times and let me know something about you.

Those smooth days

Do you believe that I’ve been sleeping less than 6 hours these days? I can recall myself on my cheap mattress, sleeping for 10 hours from 3 am to 3 pm. Now those days have gone. Well, that’s nothing out of the common lifestyle… “I wanna live like common people, I wanna do whatever common people do…”, do you know this song?. Maybe I’m sounding like a desperate guy … let me tell you… that’s false!... I’m tired but I’m happy, I’m sleepy but I wanna stay awake… :p … i didn’t take drugs by the way… maybe I’m getting crazy!

This week has been like this, very changeable. Next week, I’m gonna be in a recruitment in Monterrey (where the main campus of my university is located). The company, which I’ll be applying is called Accenture. I’ve read it’s a very important IT consulting firm with the best practices of SAP implementation… let’s see how it works!... and… wish me luck!

This is gonna be like a short post because I’m pretty tired and I miss my bed, I didn’t slept on it yesterday… guess why? … lol…

Have fun!...
